It is constructed with 0.78in thick solid sturdy wood and comes with about 100 removable cardboard nesting tubes, 18 holes in the wood, and extra room with bits of wood. The bee house can be installed in different ways, with an extra adjustable buckle to fasten it securely.

The Mason Bee House can be placed in a variety of locations including being nailed onto the wall or under the roof, in your garden near flowers, hanging on a tree, or placed in your balcony or yard. However, it should not be shaded by trees or other objects and needs to be positioned at a height of 60-70 inches above the ground. Ideally, it should be placed in a sunny location facing towards the south or southeast, with a good source of flowers and water.

When initially setting up the bee house, it is important to be patient as it may take some time for the bees to find their way to it. After a few weeks of monitoring, if there is no activity, re-locating the bee house to another sunny location is recommended.

The bee house, with a full body size of 6.69 x 7.67 x 11.81 inches, is coated in wax to make it weather resistant and has a durable construction made of natural wood and 304 stainless steel screws. It provides a comfortable habitat for bumble bees and native solitary bees with long tubes measuring 5.9’’ in length and 5/16’’ in diameter.
